What is your current role?

I am a Fire Technician and Second Instructor. As part of the Maintenance Department, I am responsible for maintaining the fire equipment, a vital part of the Montrose site.

What is your previous industry experience?

I have worked offshore in the North Sea (wirelining) and have been a retained Fire Fighter and Crew Manager with Scottish Fire and Rescue for 27 years.

Our enthusiasm, motivation and knowledge – we guide individuals through the courses in an open and friendly manner. Our team has a good rapport and an excellent network of people supporting the trainers.

What is your biggest achievement whilst working for Petrofac?

Securing a role within the maintenance department, which is such an important part of the Montrose operations, and being able to share the knowledge I have gained as a retained fire fighter.

When have you gone beyond expectations to help someone through their training?

I simply enjoy seeing delegates flourish, becoming dedicated fire team members and knowing that they will take vital skills back to their workplaces.
