This course is designed to provide delegates with a basic knowledge of safety and emergency response procedures for working in the UK and other European sectors.
Delegates will gain a basic level of understanding and awareness of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations, as well as the safety regime and safety management systems in place to control and mitigate those hazards. The course is a mix of theoretical and practical sessions. Delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training programme content.

Delegates must be at least 16 years of age.
Personnel requiring certification to allow them to work in the UK and other European sectors.
OPITO approved BOSIET and BOSIET with Compressed Air EBS certificates and an Escape Systems Training certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
Every four years.
Held at Petrofac Training Services, Altens, Aberdeen.
All delegates must bring swimwear and a towel. Delegates must present photographic ID at the start of the course. Accepted forms are government issued photographic identification, e.g. passport or driving licence.
All delegates participating in shallow water CA-EBS exercises must either be in possession of an Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) offshore medical certificate (or equivalent recognised by the HSE) and a Certificate of Fitness to Undertake Shallow Water CA-EBS Training issued by an OGUK registered doctor, or possess a valid and current HSE diver medical certificate.
Delegates that have a Certificate of Fitness to Undertake Shallow Water Training that states they have been deemed unfit to train by an OGUK doctor will not be required to undertake shallow water CA-EBS exercises.
All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement and prior to participating in in-water CA-EBS exercises.
