This course is designed to meet further emergency training requirements for oil and gas industry personnel. Delegates will be required to demonstrate their level of knowledge and understanding of the training course content.
Delegates will be given further training to enhance and complement their existing knowledge of the hazards encountered when working on offshore installations.
The course forms part of their ongoing emergency training programme.
The syllabus focuses on:
Delegates must have an in-date OPITO approved BOSIET, TBOSIET, BOSIET (with CA-EBS), FOET, TFOET or FOET (with CA-EBS) certificate or equivalent.
Delegates who have attended a BOSIET course and wish to maintain their current certification for working in the UKCS.
An OPITO approved FOET with CA-EBS certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
Every four years.
Held at Petrofac Training Services, Altens, Aberdeen.
All delegates must bring swimwear and a towel. Delegates must present photographic ID at the start of the course. Accepted forms are government issued photographic identification, e.g. passport or driving licence.
All delegates participating in shallow water CA-EBS exercises must either be in possession of an Oil and Gas UK (OGUK) offshore medical certificate (or equivalent recognised by the HSE) and a Certificate of Fitness to Undertake Shallow Water CA-EBS Training issued by an OGUK registered doctor, or possess a valid and current HSE diver medical certificate.
Delegates that have a Certificate of Fitness to Undertake Shallow Water Training that states they have been deemed unfit to train by an OGUK doctor will not be required to undertake shallow water -CAEBS exercises.
All delegates will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire prior to course commencement.
