Emergency response ‘Meet and Greet’ service expanded

Petrofac Training Services now offers an expanded Initial Reception Point Responder service, to meet and support personnel medically evacuated from offshore or involved in an incident.

From March 31, Petrofac is entering into a new partnership with Seletar (part of ASCO Group) to offer a 24/7/365 ‘Meet and Greet’ service across the entire east UKCS coast from bases in Shetland, Aberdeen, Inverness, and Great Yarmouth, including Norwich and Humberside.

Petrofac Training Services Regional Director Gordon Caird said the expanded offering means Petrofac can now deliver wider geographical support to the oil and gas industry in key oil and gas operating areas. 

“In our industry, when something goes wrong, people are the priority, and response time is critical when dealing with evacuated or injured personnel. This new partnership combines Petrofac’s emergency response expertise with Seletar’s local knowledge, experience and capability as the leading ship agency for the UK oil and gas sector. Together, we can quickly deploy a ‘Company Representative’ on behalf of our clients to the required location, to provide immediate support and relief in a high-pressure, stressful situation to their staff and contractors.”
