Welcoming you back - how we are putting your safety first as we reopen our training centres

Having postponed all physical training from our centres to comply with COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, we are now looking forward to welcoming our delegates back.

Our training centres in Aberdeen and Montrose will open in phases from the end of June, with stringent social distancing and hygiene measures in place to ensure our delegates remain as safe and comfortable as possible.

This move comes as the Scottish Government begins to ease restrictions on returning to work, while also establishing new guidance in terms of making workplaces ‘COVID-secure’.

New measures introduced by us include:

Re-opening health and safety measures

Jill Ogilvie, Petrofac Training’s Customer Care and Business Development Manager, said: “We’re proud to have led and delivered onshore and offshore safety training for more than 40 years, with the health and wellbeing of our delegates always being at the core.

“As we reopen our training centres we want to reassure our customers that we have taken every step necessary to ensure that they will return to an environment which is safe and which strictly adheres to COVID-19 guidance.

“From the introduction of staggered start and break times, to the provision of the correct PPE for delegates and staff, the fitting of screens in our minibuses to pack lunches being delivered to classrooms, we are committed to doing everything that we can to ensure a return to some sort of normality, without comprising on safety.”

Flexible learning – anywhere, anytime

As well as recommencing our physical training, we will also continue to deliver our eLearning and virtual courses.

Jill continued: “Our eLearning and virtual training courses allow our customers to continue to learn and develop their skillsets at their own pace, anywhere in the world at any time.

“Offering our courses digitally also means that delegates can significantly cut back on travel, ultimately saving time and money, while also creating less of an impact on the environment.”
